WHAT'S IN IT?

1 (10-ounce) package frozen petite peas
2 teaspoons butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh mint leaves (or 1 teaspoon dried mint), or to taste
1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste

STUFF YOU NEED

Large, microwave-safe bowl
Microwave
Large spoon
Butter knife
Measuring spoons
Cutting knife
Cutting board

HOW TO PUT IT TOGETHER

  1. Plunk the frozen peas into a large, microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave on high power for 2 minutes. Stir with a large spoon. Zap for 2 more minutes, or until hot.
  3. Stir in butter or margarine, sugar, mint and salt.
  4. Savor these perky peas while warm.
