ChocoMint Shake

WHAT'S IN IT?

1 1/2 cups low-fat chocolate milk or soymilk
1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract (or a little bit less if you like just a hint of mint!)

STUFF YOU NEED

Small plastic cup
Liquid measuring cup
Plastic wrap
Blender
Measuring spoon
Tall, chilled glass

HOW TO PUT IT TOGETHER

  1. In a small plastic cup, pour in 3/4 cup of the milk or soymilk from a liquid measuring cup. Cover the cup with plastic wrap. Sit it in the freezer for 3 hours, or until the milk is frozen solid like an ice cube.
  2. Once the milk is frozen solid, remove the cup from the freezer. Rest the cup on the counter to thaw for 15 minutes, or just until the chocolate "ice cube" can be removed from the cup.
  3. In a blender container, drop in the chocolate "ice cube" with the remaining 3/4 cup of milk or soymilk. Drip in the peppermint extract from a measuring spoon. Cover tightly with the blender lid. Whirl until smooth on low speed for 30 seconds and high speed for another 30 seconds.
  4. Pour the ChocoMint Shake into a tall, chilled glass and slurp the shake! Don't forget to make a minty mustache!
