Breakfast Bonanza

Wacky Wafflewich

Makes 1 serving(s)

WHAT'S IN IT?

2 whole-wheat frozen waffles
2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
2 tablespoons grape jelly or your favorite fruit spread
1 small banana or 1/2 large banana

STUFF YOU NEED

Toaster
Large plate
Measuring spoons
Butter knife
Cutting board

HOW TO PUT IT TOGETHER

  1. Brown the waffles in a toaster at the lightest heat setting. Remove them when they are perfectly brown to your liking. Let them cool down in the toaster for a minute before removing.
  2. When slightly cooled, place the waffles on a large plate.
  3. Use a butter knife to spread the peanut butter onto one side of one waffle, just like frosting.
  4. Spread the jelly onto one side of the other waffle.
  5. Grab a cutting board. Peel the banana, then use the butter knife to thinly slice it on the cutting board. Neatly (or sloppily!) arrange the banana slices onto the peanut butter-frosted waffle side.
  6. Cover the banana-topped waffle with the jelly-coated side of the other waffle to make a sandwich—sort of!
